My review
Liar Liar marks the 4th installment in the captivating Helen Grace series, showcasing M.J. Arlidge’s talent for crafting gripping thrillers. True to form, this book does not disappoint; in fact, it may be my favorite storyline yet. Arlidge’s mastery as a storyteller is on full display, weaving an intricate plot that kept me guessing until the very end. His narratives delve into dark and complex themes, drawing me in with each twist and turn. Arlidge’s use of short chapters maintains a brisk pace, and propels the story forward at breakneck speed.

Arlidge continues strong character development of Grace and the supporting characters and masterfully weaves in their histories without bogging down the complex storyline. With her intelligence, determination, and unorthodox methods of solving cases, Grace continues to be one of my favorite protagonists in crime fiction and she’s surrounded by a well developed supporting cast.

Liar Liar is a gripping and immersive thriller and I was immediately absorbed by the intricate storyline and dark and twisted world. Arlidge’s skillful storytelling brings to life a cast of characters that are both relatable and complex, adding depth to an already suspenseful narrative. The Helen Grace series as a whole offers a compelling blend of suspense, mystery, and character development and will continue to be on my must-read list.
