Sisters Coffee Company
1235 NW Marshall St, Portland, OR 97209
Best for casual reading and people watching. Or grab a table on the second level and curl up for a few hours with a good book!

One of the best places to stop for coffee in the Pearl District. On a recent visit, I ordered my usual breve latte and it was outstanding! The coffee is roasted in Sisters Oregon and has a deep, rich flavor with low acidity. Sisters Coffee is a family-run operation and the service was friendly, personable, and fast. The menu is substantial for a coffee shop so, feeling a little hungry, I ordered a breakfast burrito to go with my latte and sat outside overlooking the charming cobblestone street. As a bonus, my friend was delighted that most everything can be made gluten free. What an amazing way to spend a casual Sunday morning!
North/Northeast Portland
Green Bridge Coffee
650 NE Holladay St #110, Portland, OR 97232
Best for casual reading, Working, and people watching!

Fabulous discovery in a part of town that doesn’t have much around! Green Bridge is an amazing little coffee shop that serves Nossa Familia coffee – one of my favorite roasts in Portland! The coffee is smooth & clean, not acidic. I didn’t have time to grab a pastry, but the case was full and everything looked delicious and well-priced. If the weather is nice, grab a table on the sidewalk. As an added bonus, Green Bridge donates a portion of sales to a rotating list of local causes. I’ll definitely be back!
Fly Awake Tea House

Enter this tranquil and magical tea house and it may be hours before you find your way back out! This is a true gem if you’re looking to chill for a while and forget the outside world. The tea menu is expansive and the staff is very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. A great place to stop in, grab a great cup of coffee – Stumptown Roast – or a cup of tea and while away a rainy afternoon. The interior is casual and inviting with a variety of seating options.
